Felipe Ribeiro is Head of Creative for Latin America at OpenAI. Before joining OpenAI, he was Chief Creative Officer at Wieden+Kennedy Portland, the agency’s headquarters. Born in Santos, a coastal city in Brazil, Felipe grew up surrounded by canoeists and musicians and had 15 minutes of (very local) fame as a vocalist in a hardcore band. Those days are gone, but he continues to draw inspiration from music, writing, sports, and design to create work with a unique voice and a genuine chance of becoming part of the culture.
After joining W+K in 2018, Felipe worked as a Creative Director across the São Paulo and Portland offices, leading the Facebook account, and later in the New York office, overseeing Heinz. In 2022, he was appointed CCO at W+K São Paulo, leading the office to exponential growth and a list of new clients, including Budweiser, Ford, Google, Pepsi, and Nike Argentina. In less than one year in the new role, he expanded his responsibilities — and the footprint of Wieden+Kennedy — by founding W+K’s office in Mexico City as well as a Buenos Aires hub, the network’s first outposts in Spanish-speaking countries. He then became the network’s first Latin America CCO, before moving to Portland to lead W+K’s flagship office.
With over 18 years of experience in the advertising industry, Felipe has worked at some of the most creative agencies worldwide, has amassed numerous renowned campaigns, and has received over two hundred international awards, including a Dan Wieden Titanium Lions Grand Prix at the Cannes Lions Festival.
